Scanning is at the heart of what we do daily and we take great pride in our scans from negatives, slides, prints, and original artwork. All of our equipment is calibrated and/or profiled for the best possible results from the start.

 

Color Negatives

All of our color negative scans are produced on Fuji Frontier SP3000 scanners. We've chosen this scanner for it's incredible image quality and tonal range. All scans are color and density corrected. Black & White Negatives

Our black & white scanning comes from the same machines as our color negatives with the addition of a one-of-a-kind custom built scanner used just for older negative formats. With the addition of this custom made scanner we can scan and print from all sizes of black & white negatives. All prices include film processing.

Slides / Transparencies

We offer two different types of slide scans depending on the format and how they are currently stored. Because most slides / transparencies are cut to single frames the scanning process can be very long, but if you have 35mm slides that are mounted and stored in Kodak carousel slide trays, we have the added option of using our high-speed automated slide scanner for bulk scanning. Bulk scans are not color corrected or dusted, but we are capable of scanning hundreds of slides per hour, making otherwise long jobs easily completed in only a few days—not weeks.

 

We can also scan other slide / transparency formats up to 4x5, but we need a little more time to do it than the bulk scans. Each frame is dusted and color corrected for the best possible image quality.

 

Print Scanning

Have original prints but no negatives? We can still make prints from your original prints of all sizes. We use a combination of flatbed and high resolution digital cameras to capture scans of your prints and are able to make very good reproductions using these techniques. If the prints are from a professional photographer we will need a written and signed copyright release from the photographer before printing.

Artwork

Using our unique scanning area, we are able to make high resolution scans of original artwork of sizes up to 48x96 at 300 pixels per inch. Unlike other scanning systems, the face of your artwork will never be touched by our system. There are no glass plates or pinch rollers on our scanner, which not only protects your artwork, but also allows us to scan three dimensional artwork and fragile artwork with bends / warps. Pricing based on total square inches and short edge length.
